Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) claims that customers can still transact safely despite news of a ransomware attack. BRI stated that their customer data remains safe from the cyber threat.

"In connection with the circulating information regarding the BRI data leak, we convey that customers can still use the entire BRI banking system," said BRI Digital and IT Director Arga M Nugraha in a written statement on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2024.

According to Arga, the entire BRI banking system is still operating normally. He claims that BRI transaction services can also be used smoothly.

The UN on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, reaffirmed the Israeli army's continued presence along the Golan Heights buffer zone in Syria. Israeli flags within the area of separation have been removed by peacekeepers, it reported, as quoted from the Anadolu Agency

"Our peacekeeping colleagues on the Golan Heights, UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), continues to implement its mandate of observing and reporting from its positions throughout the area of separation," spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said during a press conference.
