TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, South Jakarta, to attend his inauguration event this morning, Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Based on Tempo's observation, the former mayor of Solo arrived at the DPR area at 08.35 AM local time using a white Alphard car. The car Gibran was riding entered through the VVIP lane through the main entrance of the DPR-MPR building.
Gibran attended the inauguration accompanied by his wife, Selvi Ananda, who wore a red kebaya and rode together in the same car.
Today, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be inaugurated as the president and vice president for the 2024-2029 period at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
The People's Consultative Assembly or MPR as the organizer of the inauguration event has conducted a rehearsal for the program. The event will start at 10.00 AM, singing the Indonesian national anthem and the plenary session opened by MPR Chairman, Ahmad Muzani. It will be followed by the reading of the decision by the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU).
Subsequently, the agenda will continue with the swearing-in of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period. After signing the minutes of the event, the president will deliver his first speech.
