TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Soekarno-Hatta Airport is ready to receive state guests attending the inauguration of the Indonesian President and Vice President Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka (Prabowo-Gibran) on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport Asst. Deputy Head of Communications and Legal, M. Holik Muardi, said his office is committed to providing the best service, especially in welcoming state guests. "We are working with all relevant parties to ensure that the entire process runs smoothly and safely," Holik said on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Holik said all facilities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, including VVIP services, are ready to serve based on international standards and strict protocols. "We always prioritize safety, comfort and security, especially for important state events like this. Not only security, but we have also added several facilities and support services such as VVIP vehicles and service officers during this event," he explained.
According to Holik, state guests will pass through the VVIP Terminal at Terminal 3. To facilitate the arrival process, Soekarno Hatta Airport is collaborating with Paspampres (presidential security force), the State Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Transition Team, InJourney Airports, and other relevant parties, such as the Office of Airport Authority Region I, CIQ (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine), the military (TNI), and National Police.
The state guests will be welcomed with a state ceremony, including a marching band performance, and will be escorted through a walkway in the VVIP Terminal, Terminal 3. "Soekarno-Hatta Airport will continue to coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure that all processes in the welcome ceremony run smoothly and per established protocols," said Holik.
As a strategic measure, he added, the airport has arranged for the relocation of state aircraft of wide-body and narrow-body types. This step is being taken to avoid disruption to regular commercial flight schedules and to maintain the efficiency of aircraft movement on the runways and aprons while maintaining strict aviation safety standards.
To support this VVIP event, the international airport has also increased security personnel and support services. Security has also been significantly increased, with a total of 470 personnel from Aviation Security, Kodam Jaya, Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, Gartap 1/Jakarta, and Koopsus TNI. "The security enhancement aims to ensure that all airport areas are in a safe and controlled condition throughout the national event," Holik said.
In addition, Soekarno-Hatta Airport added an activity monitoring post at the Hanoman Room, Terminal 3 Domestic, which will serve as a coordination center during the arrival and departure of state guests.
