TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, visits the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, December 5, 2024. He will accompany President Prabowo Subianto to meet Japanese entrepreneurs who are members of the Japan-Indonesia Association (JAPINDA).

Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani and Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nagara will also accompany President Prabowo in the meeting with JAPINDA.
The former Head of the National Campaign Team for Prabowo-Gibran in the 2014 Presidential Election did not reveal in detail today’s meeting agenda
"I was summoned by the president,” said Rosan.
Last year, the 7th President, Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, as the representative of the Indonesian government on Monday, December 18, 2023, met with the President of the Japan-Indonesia Association, Fukuda Yasuo, at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo.
Jokowi lauded JAPINDA for its significant contribution to promoting cooperation in the economic sector between Japan and Indonesia.
At that time, Jokowi hoped that JAPINDA would continue to support investment boosts and technology transfer in future economic sectors such as energy transition and the digital economy.
The Japan-Indonesia Association was also expected to help advance Indonesia’s human resources quality. Jokowi said the support is aimed at “letting more skilled Indonesian workers into the Japanese market.”.
The Presidential Palace is yet to announce officially the meeting between Prabowo and Japan’s entrepreneurs.
