TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Skytrax's best low-cost airline, Indonesia AirAsia, is ready to lower its domestic flight ticket prices during the 2025 Eid period. "This policy applies to all domestic routes served by Indonesia AirAsia," said Indonesia AirAsia President Director Veranita Yosephine, Monday, March 3, 2025.
The domestic routes include Jakarta - Bali, Jakarta - Silangit, Jakarta - Labuan Bajo, Jakarta - Lampung, Bali - Labuan Bajo, Balikpapan - Bali, and Banjarmasin - Bali.
Veranita said that during this Eid period, Indonesia AirAsia is following the government's policy of lowering flight ticket prices by up to 14 percent. This reduction covers various price components, including fuel surcharge which is reduced from 10 percent to 2 percent, Aircraft Passenger Service (PJP2U) which has decreased by 50 percent, Aircraft Landing, Placement and Storage Service (PJP4U) which has decreased by 50 percent and VAT which was previously 11 percent is now 5 percent.
Tickets with this special price can be purchased from March 1 to April 7, 2025, for the travel period from March 24 to April 7, 2025. Veranita added, Indonesia AirAsia is committed to continuing to support the government's program which wants to provide a reduction in airline ticket prices for the Indonesian people at a more affordable price. Especially for those who want to return to their beloved hometown and gather with their families.
Previously, Indonesia AirAsia has also participated in the ticket price reduction program by providing discounts during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2024/2025 holiday period, Veranita hopes that this initiative can encourage increased use of air transportation during the Eid period, both for people who want to go home or travel. With this policy, said Veranita, people can more easily plan trips more effectively and comfortably, while supporting the growth of the tourism sector and the economy as a whole.
