BMKG Weather Forecast: Rain to Wet Most Parts of Jakarta Since Morning

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts light rain and thick clouds to loom over Jakarta today, Thursday, January 30, 2025. Most of Jakarta is predicted to be showered with rain since morning.

The complete weather forecast for Jakarta today is as follows: 

Central Jakarta

Light rain is predicted to start falling from 9:00 a.m. local time, followed by overcast weather from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Rain will start again in this region in the afternoon, but it will subside at 4:00 p.m. The sky will be cloudy for the rest of the day.

East Jakarta

Similar to Central Jakarta, rain will befall this region starting at 9:00 a.m. Cloudy skies will cover East Jakarta at 11:00 a.m. and again at 4:00 p.m., interspersed with a rainy afternoon. 

North Jakarta

According to BMKG, a drizzle will moisten this region all day, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by thick cloud for the rest of the day. 

South Jakarta

Rain will also wet South Jakarta since morning. Cloudy skies will visit this part of Jakarta at noon, before rain comes pouring into the night. 

West Jakarta

BMKG forecasts West Jakarta to be cloudy from morning to noon. Thick clouds are predicted to start appearing at 11:00 a.m. with no chance of rain throughout the day.

Thousand Islands

Rain is predicted to fall from 9:00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., followed by overcast weather for the rest of the day. 

The air temperatures throughout Jakarta are expected to range from 23-29 degrees Celsius with humidity levels in the range of 67-98 percent.
