TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Water and Air Police Corps of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency has prepared air ambulances to help secure the Christmas and New Year holiday periods.
Head of the Public Relations Bureau, Brigadier General of Police Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said the National Police prepared Dauphin AS 365 N3 and Bolkow 105 helicopters equipped with emergency medical equipment.
Both helicopters are designed to evacuate traffic accident victims or other emergency situations and provide optimal medical response in a short time.
"We ensure that victims can be immediately admitted to the nearest health facilities for optimal medical treatment," he said on Thursday, December 19, 2024, as reported by Antara.
Trunoyudo hopes that the air ambulance service will speed up public access to medical services, especially during Christmas Day and the 2025 New Year's Day.
"We want to ensure that the citizens feel safe and comfortable while celebrating this moment with their families. The presence of air ambulances is a form of the National Police's commitment to serving the public," he said.
In addition to air ambulances, the National Police have also prepared referral hospitals in Greater Jakarta and outside the region.
In Greater Jakarta, the referral hospitals include the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, Cengkareng Regional Hospital, Koja Regional Hospital, Radjak Salemba Hospital, Mayapada Hospital, Pertamina Central Hospital, Tarakan Regional Hospital, and MRCCC Siloam Hospitals.
Outside the region, the referral hospitals are Karawang Regional Hospital, Banyu Asih Regional Hospital, Indramayu Regional Hospital, Gunung Jati Regional Hospital, Brebes Regional Hospital, Kardinah Regional Hospital, Dr. M. Ashari Regional Hospital, Kraton Pekalongan Regional Hospital, Batang Regional Hospital, Bhayangkara Indramayu Hospital, and Bhayangkara Surabaya Hospital.
With these preparations, Trunoyudo went on, the risk of fatalities due to accidents or other emergency situations can be minimized.
"We urge the public to remain cautious, especially when traveling during this long holiday. The National Police are ready to provide the best services for the safety and comfort of the public," he said.
